Honda has anounced big recall for it’s Jazz Supermini. And about 646.000 unit will be affected (prod. 2002-2008) due to a serious problem on the master window main switch. For a corective action Honda will replace the master windows switch about 10 percent from all affected jazz. The rest will be installed with waterproof materials.

Honda said that the problem will occured when the car is on extreme operating condition like rain, flood etc that may cause water or other liquid material reach the master window switch and causing over heating and further can cause a fire that may enter into dangerous situation for the user. They will contact all of the affected owners on March 2010.

How about Honda Jazz in my beloved country Indonesia? The Marketing Director and After Sales Service of Honda Prospect Motor (HPM)in Indonesia Mr. Jonfis Fandy said that all Honda Jazz in Indonesia surely safe to ride. He said that the master window switch for Jazz in Indonesia was produced by Toyo Denso not by OMRON.
